AI Video Generation Configuration

Configure AI video generation

The Chinese guide describes video generation through Volcengine, Aliyun Wanxiang, and Fal.ai (Kling). For an English-language product, start with Fal. The Fal key is the one this repository actually ships.

config/aiVideo.ts is not in this repository, and config/index.ts does not export a video config. config/credits.ts has no aiVideo entry. env.example defines FAL_API_KEY (used by image generation) and Aliyun access keys (SMS and storage). It does not define VOLCENGINE_API_KEY. The Chinese page (video.zh-CN.mdx) shows the same snippets. Treat them as the intended shape, not as files you can edit in this checkout.

Providers described in the Chinese guide

ServiceModels (examples)Notes
Fal.ai (Kling)kling-video/v2.5-turbo/pro/text-to-video, kling-video/v2.5-turbo/pro/image-to-videoBest starting point for an English product. FAL_API_KEY is already used for images.
Volcengineseedance-1-0-lite-i2v-250428, seedance-1-0-pro-250528Seedance models. No Volcengine key or client is in this repo.
Aliyun Wanxiangwan2.6-t2v-plus, wan2.6-i2v-flashUseful if you already run on Alibaba Cloud. The Aliyun keys in env.example are for SMS and OSS, not video.

Shape from the Chinese guide

The Chinese page says video config lives in config/aiVideo.ts and defaults to Volcengine. That file is absent here. For an English product, the Fal model id below is the one to lead with once a video config exists:

// Described in video.zh-CN.mdx — config/aiVideo.ts is not in this repo
export const aiVideoConfig = {
  defaultProvider: 'volcengine',
  defaultModels: {
    fal: 'kling-video/v2.5-turbo/pro/text-to-video',
  },
}

Environment variables

Only FAL_API_KEY exists in env.example and in libs/ai. The other names are what the Chinese guide lists:

# Present in env.example. Used today by image generation (libs/ai).
FAL_API_KEY="your-fal-api-key"

# Listed in the Chinese guide. Not in env.example or libs/ai.
VOLCENGINE_API_KEY="your-volcengine-api-key"

# Present in env.example for SMS. Storage can reuse them for OSS.
# The Chinese video page also names them; nothing in libs/ai reads them for video.
ALIYUN_ACCESS_KEY_ID="your-aliyun-access-key-id"
ALIYUN_ACCESS_KEY_SECRET="your-aliyun-access-key-secret"

Credits shape from the Chinese guide

config/credits.ts prices chat (aiChat) and images (aiImage) only. The Chinese page adds an aiVideo block that is not in the file:

// Described in video.zh-CN.mdx — not present in config/credits.ts
export const creditsConfig = {
  fixedConsumption: {
    aiVideo: {
      default: 20,
      models: {
        'seedance-1-0-lite-i2v-250428': 20,
        'wan2.6-i2v-flash': 15,
        'kling-video/v2.5-turbo/pro/text-to-video': 30,
      },
    },
  },
}
